The DA No Longer Has My Vote
For years without fail, faithful South Africans queued in lines, sometimes for long periods of time, to vote for the party in blue, led by Musi Mainmane and John Steenhuisen. It wasn’t until recently that I discovered that this party, which likes to portray itself as a party for all people, has been nothing but a bunch of attention-seeking politicians who also wanted a section of the pie, or a hand in the State cookie jar!
A prime example of this is the flip-flopping Steenhuisen, who has had multiple opportunities to deliver serious blows to the ANC of Ramaphosa, but failed to act or follow through. When President Trump presented the famous ‘Kill the Boer’ song by Malema and his red Beret army, Steenhuisen shrank back into playing politics when he had a very unique opportunity to bury the ANC and expose them even more deeply. He should have highlighted the obvious sins and shortcomings of Ramaphosa’s cohorts by being honest and throwing caution to the wind. Why did he not mention the bizarre foreign policies of the ANC, or the 142 Race Laws? Why was the farm murder topic being avoided, and why did Steenhuisen not use this time to show the World who SA really has become, despite the Mandela legacy?
It has also come to my attention recently that the DA even stooped as low as aligning with other parties in the Western Cape and Oudtshoorn areas, just to keep the FF PLUS out. They are so petrified of losing their little stronghold in the land of milk and Honey that they would team up with parties who are nothing like them, or who won’t stand for anything that the DA does! This is unthinkable! Our country can no longer afford to play silly political games or to have Black and White Afrikaner folk, who want to build this country together, divided by stupid politics! Imagine if these nuthead politicians could put their differences aside and unite! Imagine if the DA and FF PLUS had to join forces and become a 51% party majority! I wish that the DA would change its name from the Democratic Alliance to the Cadre Alliance, because lately, there has been more evidence of a party which is bowing down to ANC ideology, than a strong, independent party that governs through moral soundness, Biblical strength and unwavering integrity!
You see, folks, when the carrots of the State resources are dangled in front of their noses, the DA loses its identity, and suddenly, we have a party trying to garner votes, whilst at the same time, playing into the hands of the ever-calculating, unrelenting ANC! The DA has now morphed into a party that has lost the battle of identity politics, and which has forgotten who they are- a party that tries to appease both the pro-Palestine camps, as well as the Judeo-Christian believers…a party that promises jobs and economic growth, whilst succumbing to the powers of the corrupt ANC. It’s been all talk, advertising, political grandstanding and no action! Every time I see Steenhuisen posing for another photo with farmers or bragging about his umpteenth achievement, I want to pull my hair out! Look at the Foot and Mouth crisis! Do we need any more proof? The days of the DA are over! We now desperately need moral authority, a party that will put the people first, but above all, a leader who will take South Africa into a whole new era of empowering the voter, educating the people of SA and providing us with a police force which works and protects our fellow citizens! We are at a huge turning point in South African politics!
