ANC, DIRCO Not Representative of the Majority of South Africans
Following the recent spats between the ANC government and Israel regarding discussions in Mthatha, Eastern Cape, between King Dalindyebo, more than 50 traditional leaders and the Jewish nation, it has once again become crystal clear why the ANC wanted the Foreign Affairs ministry position so badly during the formation of the GNU.
One thing the ANC and Ramaphosa understands very well, is that when you can create animosity between 2 nations, your own people will usually be lulled into a sense of belonging and standing up against opposition nations, such as the USA, when people like President Donald Trump starts asking serious questions about your country’s leadership. The case against Israel at the ICJ was an extremely fine-tuned tactic, spearheaded by Naledi Pandor, to create a false illusion of South Africa being a moral nation, who is standing up against ‘Apartheid Israel’- it irks me to know that allegedly, the ANC had prior knowledge about the October 7th attack on the Jews, and was allegedly acting as a proxy of the Iranian government.
Focusing our attention back on the meeting in Mtatha between Israel and the King Dalindyebo about the water instability, and how Israel can assist with state-of-the-art Water technology which addresses this serious humanitarian crises, one must look at why the ANC-led GNU condemned this meeting, and concurrently decided to act against Israeli diplomat Ariel Siedman- giving him 72 hours to leave SA. Unsurprisingly, Israel hit back by returning the favour- declaring SA diplomat Shaun Byneveldt persona non Grata.
Ramaphosa’s party fears the embarrassment of being caught with its pants down, in the event of a foreign nation such as Israel, or the USA for that matter, pointing out the obvious shortcomings of the ANC when it pertains to service delivery and basic human rights. These so-called ‘struggle Stalwarts’ have proven to the people of SA that 1) it doesn’t carry the burden of the South African people or take our concerns to heart 2) it’s willingness to align with dirty foreign actors supercedes it’s most crucial responsibilities to its own people 3) DIRCO along with the Nelson Mandela Foundation happily accuses Christians for ‘harnassing Apartheid’ for its own gain- this is very far from true 4) the ANC’s foreign policy does not reflect, in any way or form, the wishes of the average South African person, and goes directly against our will of building strong, meaningful bonds with freedom-loving nations such as the USA and Israel.
It is imperative to understand that the ANC no longer holds the majority vote, and on top of that, doesn’t reflect the wishes of our people. When Naledi Pandor is asked by average South Africans to step down as Chairman of the Nelson Mandela Foundation….when certain non-profit organizations parade as heroes who act in the interests of Palestinians whilst our own people are suffering, and when the ANC, Pandor and the Nelson Mandela Foundation are deathly silent whilst the Iranian government mows down its own citizens at alarming rates, simply for protesting in the streets, then we need to start asking some very pertinent questions! The time for acting is over. If we don’t start aligning ourselves with the right nations, we will become increasingly weaker, lose all our credibility and ultimately, the mask of the dreaded ANC will come falling off for the World to see who we are truly being oppressed by, in stead of set free, by. Maybe that would be a good thing!
