DA Infuriates Faithful South African Voters
It’s hard to decide what has been the DA’s worst political failure – was it the lack of support for the brilliant Emma Powell, who had been harassed and illegally surveilled for her scathing words regarding the ANC’s highly controversial foreign policies in 2025, or the firing of Andrew Whitfield by Ramaphosa, without sufficient DA pushback? Or how about Minister of Education, Siviwe Gwarube’s highly criticized Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) for scholars despite huge pushback from religious groups, or the proposed changes to the History curriculum?
Of course, the one that possibly takes the cake for most questionable, irrational behavior was that of John Steenhuisen when small farmers of SA were basically told that he, Steenhuisen, and his chommie-ANC government, had full control over the FMD crisis, and that farmers were not allowed to procure or administer their own vaccines, despite a nation-wide disaster of severe animal illness and the extremely debilitating effects on these hard-working individuals as they had to watch their cattle suffer and die, before their very eyes, and there was nothing they could do to help their livestock, resulting in some farmers even taking their own lives! Not to mention Steenhuisen’s credit card scandal or his pathetic performance at the White House when he basically backed everything our spineless President said- denying that farm murders even took place and acting suspiciously surprised about clear evidence that had been presented by President Trump on Television.
Never before has the DA stooped so low in its attempts to gain momentum within the GNU, fumbling and stuttering their way through the political quagmire that exists in SA. The recent social media attack by Geordin Hill Lewis on FF PLUS’ Pieter Groenewaldt, minister of Correctional Services, regarding the so-called lost parolees, sent shockwaves through SA as the DA exposed itself as a highly desperate, irrational political party that had reached its ceiling and has failed dismally to truly unite South Africans and deal with Ramaphosa’s ANC cadres!
These predictable, almost childish attacks on the charismatic Groenewaldt was a step too far from the party in blue, who has nothing more to show than a fairly well-governed Western Cape metro, which, in essence, is almost a self-sustaining city with massive amounts of guaranteed tourist-Millions flooding in annually as people from all over the World come to enjoy our finest wines, travel up Table Mountain and witness the place where the 2 oceans meet. But when you argue with DA faithfuls on social media, they will quickly try to defend their Cape stronghold, painting the DA as this blameless, perfect party and SA’s only hope. What a joke! I predict a massive fall from grace for the party I once voted for, without any doubt!
