Gateway Launches Designer-Led Gifting Experience In Durban
KwaZulu-Natal, 9 June 2026: Gateway Theatre of Shopping has introduced a refined new approach to gifting with the launch of From Art With Love, an exclusive collaboration with Durban fashion designer Kathrin Kidger. Now open and running for the next year, the initiative offers shoppers a limited-edition range of reusable fabric gift wraps, available at the Gateway Gifting Concierge on level 2 near Starbucks.
Designed to bring greater meaning to every gift, the collection transforms wrapping into something worth keeping by introducing fabric wrapping. Each fabric wrap is created for reuse in multiple ways, from elegant gift wrap to a statement scarf or decorative accent, offering a more enduring alternative to traditional paper. In doing so, the wrapping itself becomes part of the gift itself.

Importantly, the From Art With Love initiative also supports a meaningful local cause. The full R120 from every wrapping fabric sold will be donated to The Durban Hospice for Women – Kerr House, a place of safety for survivors of gender-based violence and their children. The organisation provides shelter, food, clothing, skills development, groupwork support and psychosocial services at no cost, helping women rebuild their lives in a warm and supportive environment.
