Those Who Love SA Must Band Together
As a middle-aged, White Afrikaner man who has lived in Durban all his life and was born in the 80s, I’d like to say that no matter what the colour of your skin pigmentation is, you can forgive your brothers and sisters who don’t look like you, and can indeed join together to condemn this rotten ANC government of ours!
The March and March group, despite who funds it or whatever Conspiracies already exist about its origins, serves as a type of blueprint for the rest of us on how to get the government to move swiftly and act with more urgency. The Zuma-lady who heads up this campaign seems to be well-spoken, well-informed and highly prepared for what she had set out to achieve. Never have I seen the SA government act so swiftly and almost appear scared of the outcome, given this campaign and the way it has been presented.
Noticing the scores of Malawians stranded near Sherwood in Durban, it was clear to most of us just how serious this March and March group really is. It goes to show that the people ultimately have the power, but what is stopping us from being effective are our differences and this obsession with only listening to our own race types or those who hold the exact same beliefs as us- it’s sad!
To the Hindu lady frying samoosas outside a quiet mall in Westville to try make extra money for her family after her husband passed away and hadn’t left anything for his wife and kids, nor had any life policies…..to the Black gentleman who show off their incredible sand sculptures at Durban beach, begging for a few coins just to buy that bread and milk for their dependants……to the 67 year old White farmer who has worked his hands to the bone to provide for his own family and to keep putting food on our tables….to the bright, coloured teenage lady who had just finished school with 7 straight A’s, but cannot find a job, not even as a temporary worker…to the African lady selling caps and hats at Umhlanga promenade, I am so proud of you! We salute you all! Thank you for trying your best! For not giving an inch! For not being defined by a hapless, hopeless ANC-heavy GNU government, for not relying on a lousy social grant which cannot even feed you for 7 days! Thank you for being strong, fighting…surviving..against all odds! To my fellow White friends, or ‘Mlungus’, as we are often called: do not be afraid! Live your lives unapologetically! Love your neighbours! Don’t let dark forces and the Communist government divide us or make you hate your brother who doesn’t look like you!
In closing, the 30th of June could forever transform our nation, or will it be just another July 2021 looting fest? We will have to wait and see, but I remain hopeful. To the Malemas and Lesufis: if you hate this country, rather leave!
