Bribery Trumps Accountability
As long as the ANC holds the majority of the GNU pie, Ramaphosa and his cadres will keep dodging accountability, and bribery will continue trumping justice.
Law and order mean nothing when you are a faithful member of the green, yellow and Black party! No matter how eager we as South Africans are to see justice prevail, Ramaphosa still holds a very commanding position since his ANC is desperately trying to survive their most embarrassing political performance in decades. The DA also prefers to have Ramaphosa at the helm, for now, rather than a Mashatile or another more radical ANC leader. At least Ramaphosa doesn’t want to boil the frog in one quick cooking session- he and his ANC vultures enjoy the slow roasting of those who had built up SA to what it is today. Besides, if they are too radical too quickly, the World might take notice. Unfortunately for them, the World at large is already becoming weary of the fact that this so-called Rainbow Nation is nothing but a fake rainbow with only 3 colours- those of the ANC faithful.
NHI and EWC will be the ANC’s most important joker cards in their pack, as time is running out for Ramaphosa and their voters are getting gatvol. If NHI is passed, SA will be in serious trouble. We won’t be able to go back, and that will pretty much be the final straw that breaks the camel’s back. But you see, Ramaphosa loves to add straw to the overloaded camel’s back, as he is becoming increasingly aware of his position being in danger, and as the Sharks of the other Radical Economic Transformation faction start to circle and smell blood, Cyril becomes more unhinged, more radical and almost irrational. The Mashatile faction wants Ramaphosa out, but he clings like an acorn to a tree, and he plays his part so well in keeping the Cadres’ bellies full.
We can only hope and pray that common sense will prevail at the next elections, but with so many voters still so badly informed, who knows where it will all end for SA? If Ramaphosa goes, who will take over? The mere thought of this gives me the creeps.
