Pedal Power Returns To Cornubia With The 2025 Zoot n Scoot

Zoot & Scoot 1

Zoot n Scoot 2025 transforms Cornubia Mall into a lively bike track for kids aged 3–12 this May

Umhlanga, 5 May 2025 — The highly anticipated Zoot n Scoot is back for its third lap around Cornubia Mall, promising a high-energy, family-friendly experience for young riders this Saturday, 10 May. This much-loved event transforms the mall’s common areas into a lively track where children aged 3 to 12 can race their push-bikes, soaking up early morning excitement with family, friends, and fellow competitors.

A Beloved Fixture On The Cornubia Calendar

Taking place from 7:30 to 9:30 AM, the event has cemented itself as a local favourite, blending community connection with active fun. The format is refreshingly simple: kids ride their bikes around a designated course within the safety of the mall’s walkways, cheered on by proud parents and enthusiastic onlookers.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own bikes and safety gear — helmets and pads remain a must. The organisers have prioritised safety and inclusivity, providing a contained environment perfect for a morning outing.

Race Categories And Prizes

This year’s event offers three racing categories:

  • Mini Movers (ages 3–5)

  • Speedy Sprinters (ages 6–8)

  • Trail Blazers (ages 9–12)

Trophies await the champions in each age group, along with fun prizes for the best decorated bike, best dressed rider, and most enthusiastic participant — a nod to celebrating effort as much as achievement. Each R85 entry also secures a goodie bag packed with treats.

A Morning Of Movement, Cheer And Community Spirit

From the first flag drop at 7:30 AM, Cornubia Mall promises to be abuzz with spectators, cheer squads and excited riders. Beyond competition, Zoot n Scoot serves as a rare opportunity for children to engage in a social, active event within a familiar setting — nurturing both confidence and camaraderie.

Now in its third year, the event continues to build momentum, strengthening its position as a fixture on the local social calendar. Parents eager to involve their little ones in a morning of movement and memory-making can register via info@cornubiamall.co.za, or visit the official Cornubia Mall website or @cornubiamall on social media for updates.
