Steenhuisen Has Become Ramaphosa’s Puppet and Secret Weapon
The DA’s John Steenhuisen, who is no stranger to most South Africans by now, has seemingly lost his identity since joining the GNU- Becoming the laughing stock of the DA and, most of all, Ramaphosa and the ANC’s excuse and a scapegoat.
The Foot and Mouth Disease crisis, although not created by Steenhuisen, has exposed him and the DA for being untrustworthy and far from ready to govern SA. One would be forgiven for thinking that the party in blue who govern so well in the Western Cape, could save South Africa from falling off the cliff of the economic abyss that the ANC and it’s cadres had created, but after witnessing Steenhuisen’s performance at the Whitehouse, the FMD fiasco, the sacking of former fellow DA members Dion George, Andrew Whitfield and Emma Powell and Geordin Hill Lewis’ unwarranted attack on Piet Groenewaldt, voters should have enough information to make a well-informed decision about who governs SA in the future, or not.
The DA’s request for a reshuffling of the cabinet and laying off of Steenhuisen to save face will be used by Ramaphosa as a political weapon as he drags out the process, and watches more DA voters lose patience with the once-trusted party, which once upon a time valued the private sector and fought against the ANC, rather than getting cosy with it. The next election will be an unforgettable one, as South Africans no longer know who to trust or who to vote for. The common theme around the World right now is that governments are becoming more totalitarian, and the people are becoming more resistant to being controlled, and more reluctant to want to see change. Classic examples are the recent resignation of Keir Starmer and the criticism of Australian left-wing puppet Anthony Albanese.
Steenhuisen went from fearless opposition leader of the DA, to disastrous minister of Agriculture and now, one of SA’s most -disliked politicians, amongst the likes of Ramaphosa, Malema, Mashatile, Mbalula and Lesufi. White farmers and Afrikaans-speaking voters are obviously highly disgruntled by Steenhuisen’s recent behaviour, but don’t think for one second that the DA will only be losing Afrikaner folk! Many people are starting to see their true colours, and I, for one, have to separate myself from the DA faithful despite having supported them for so many years! The ANC is smiling right now, as Steenhuisen has become the very reason that the ANC no longer feels like it is solely responsible for the mess in SA. How convenient for Ramaphosa since the ANC is at its weakest ever! Congratulations to Steenhuisen for taking the heat off the cadres! Let’s see what this blunder will cost the DA in future!
