Iran and the IRGC Not the Same

Once again, the likes of Thyagaraj Markandan came out guns blazing (The Mercury, 11 March), accusing Trump of wanting to ‘Kill a Nation’s spirit, of course, referring to the Iranian people. Tell us, Mr Markandan, who are the Iranians, really? Is it the Ayatollah and his IRGC henchmen? Or is it the Persian people? It cannot be both, because the last time I checked, Khamenei was slaughtering his own people in the streets, even setting a whole market on fire in Rasht, to eliminate those who protested against the sick regime. Reports of women being raped on purpose before being killed by the IRGC have surfaced, yet Mr Markandan wants us all to believe that Trump is fighting against the people of Iran?

Personally, I am so tired of this Leftist rhetoric, and I wish that South Africans would do more research for themselves before believing the lies of the likes of Markandan! Trump and Israel are trying to liberate the Persian people- they are literally giving them a second chance to try to topple the Islamic regime of Iran, so that women can be free again, walk in the streets without wearing hijabs, and live normal lives. Since when is this a bad thing? Even when we read the news or watch SABC news on social media, the general rhetoric put out there by the ANC and left-wing media is that everything is Trump’s fault, and Israel is also to blame.

For me, it is extremely satisfying to see such an evil regime as the IRGC finally being pummeled and toppled by its very own people, and watching people on the Left, such as Markandan, have their little meltdown moments! I am excited to see what happens next, since the IRGC won’t just take their punishment lying down. Forget the Epstein files! What Ayatollah Khamenei and his proxy fighters are willing to do, even to their own, far overshadows the sins of political figures on Epstein Island! Let God be the judge of the Epstein case, but let’s be happy for the Iranian people, at least, since they are finally being liberated by brave men who have had enough.
