Disgraceful Branken Yells Leftist Rhetoric as Zille Calmly Responds
By now, most people would’ve seen or heard about ‘pastor’ Nigel Branken’s rant when he accused Helen Zille and the DA of ignoring the so-called Genocide in Gaza. His performance could be likened to a little brat at a supermarket who is demanding his parents to buy him a toy- it was aggressive, unnecessary and impractical, and Helen Zille handled it very well!
I am no longer a supporter of the DA, but I must say this: what on Earth is Zille or the DA supposed to do about the war in Gaza, when we have gigantic issues of our own here in SA? It wasn’t the DA’s idea to go to the ICJ to accuse Israel- it was the ANC cabal of Cyril and his greedy cadres! Iran became the ANC’s paymaster, and it was time for Ramaphosa to own up and return the favour.
I wonder if pastor Branken has any idea what the stats say about Farm murders in SA, or the killing of so many Christians in Nigeria at the hands of Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen and ISWAP? Some 7000 Christians were murdered during the first 220 days of 2025, Mr Branken. This represents a sharp increase in violence in the Middle Belt region. This is a daily average of 32 Christians being killed in 2025! The persecution includes destruction of churches, kidnappings and attacks on communities. Regarding the Persians killed in a major crackdown in over 400 cities in Iran by Ayatollah Khamenei and his IRGC recently, some estimates indicated that over 30000 people, including Muslims, were killed for protesting against its own government. Reports suggest the use of heavy weaponry such as Kalashnikovs and even machine guns!
Now, let’s talk about Farm murders, Mr Branken! Do you know the stats? Let me remind you: the hot spots are Mpumalanga, Gauteng and the North West provinces, recording brutal killings of some 29 people, with 184 attacks in 2025 alone! For 2026, Gauteng recorded the highest number of attacks (50), with 7 murders. These are not normal murders! They are brutal with a substantial risk of death. Methods involve torture, burning, stabbings and hanging. These crimes are often linked to the robbery of cash and firearms.
So, before Mr Branken praises the Leftist cabal of Greta Thunberg and her Somud Flotilla, which is said to have sailed to Gaza in an attempt to deliver humanitarian aid, would he be willing to condemn the farm murders here in SA? Or how about the slow but effective economic Genocide perpetrated by Ramaphosa and his ANC through the use of 143 race laws and BBBEE, which is designed to shut out White minority communities from economic participation? Is this acceptable, Mr Branken?
