Critics of Trump Are Enemies of Freedom
Reading Colin Bosman’s letter titled “Trump, Lies and the invasion of Venezuela”, it suddenly dawned on me that those who hate Trump do not understand the value of freedom, democracy, meritocracy and good old Churchillian values.
Bosman kicks off by calling Trump a “lunatic” who was elected “based on lies”- which lies, Mr Bosman? Please elaborate? In my view, the stolen Election of 2020, where Joe Biden was literally thrust into his position by hook or by crook in order to serve the wishes of Obama, the Clintons and all other Leftist lunatics, was a shameful act of corruption and possibly the most devastating result the US could’ve ever asked for! It was a huge injustice, and the world today is a mess because of the Biden years!
Bosman goes on to lament that Maduro, the Venezuelan criminal who calls himself a leader and a president, who allegedly was a notorious drug lord and dictator who had no problems waging war against his own people, was “illegally captured” by Trump. Let’s see what the courts say, and let’s wait for justice to be served!
Besides being captured, Maduro faces serious backlash from his own people, which is clear for all to see in the way that Venezuelans have been celebrating in the streets and public spaces! When Cyril Ramaphosa says ‘ We stand with the people of Venezuela ‘….which people does he refer to? Or does he mean that the ANC stands with a Dictator? I wonder. The same is happening in Iran right now, where thousands upon thousands of Iranians are taking to the streets to protest against the regime, the Ayatollahs, despite blackouts and all forms of communication being cut off by the Draconian regime of Khamenei.
Lastly, let’s assume Bosman’s comment about Trump wanting Venezuela’s oil reserves was correct- would it not be a brilliant tactic to hurt the Global South, in particular China and Iran, since all proceeds from oil sales are usually used in acts of war or to weaponize the proceeds against the West? Surely that would make logical sense? Or do we want to see a World where the BRICS nations take charge and become one giant Dictatorship? Judging by the chaos happening right now in public spaces in both Iran and Venezuela, I’d say that Trump is a modern-day Churchill! So is Benjamin Netanyahu!
To summarise, American politics will serve the Republicans for at least another term or even two, and those who want to see Trump or his policies removed must keep on dreaming!
