AI and Technology May Catapult Us Back to What Matters Most

AI and technology

I am hopeful that as AI starts to develop and tries to take over our lives, people with sound minds and an ability to recognize what truly matters will start to see the light and naturally gravitate back towards simplicity, authenticity and freedom of choice.

As data centres go up around the World using copious amounts of land and water, as Digital ID causes more and more fear rather than building trust and as the Chinese model of complete surveillance cripples its citizens and strips them of their dignity, many people are waking up to the potential reality of a fully digitized future; a future where wholesomeness, Mother Nature, fresh air, simplicity and freedom of movement and speech is replaced by authoritarian enslavement at its highest ever level! Most of us don’t want to be shackled by a futuristic, AI-driven sort of imprisonment where a select few will be able to track us, dictate to us what we may or may not say or buy, and put humanity so far ahead of itself that we will eventually reach a point of no return.

Elon Musk, one of the World’s most successful and richest men alive, even admitted that AI needs to be monitored or subjected to some sort of protective legislative oversight, or else we may face certain doom. I tend to agree with what he said back then, although right now, I am not entirely certain of what his actual agenda for humanity is; just like Bill Gates, another Billionaire who has come up with some of the weirdest and most anti-humanistic ideas to date! From genetically modified foods and Wolbachia mosquitoes carrying bacteria, to Lone Star ticks causing Lyme disease and Gates purchasing large farm lands for who knows what reason!

For all of these socialist, totalitarian and Utopian ideas to come to fruition, a digital infrastructure needs to be in place with which people would be tracked, controlled and ultimately, have to bend the knee to tyrannical governments. Technology such as facial recognition, data centres, digital ID’S, high-tech road surveillance cameras which use infrared imaging and AI analytics to monitor traffic flow, and a State-controlled police force are what our worst future nightmares are made of!

It’s time to go back to walks in the forest or the mountains, observing a beautiful sunset, reading books, playing chess, swimming in a river, putting our phones in the closet and truly listening to each other again, rather than the modern day doomscrolling which is ending marriages, destroying intimacy, making our children lazy and turning us into Vitamin-defficient zombies who say yes and amen to everything the government tells us to do! When last did you walk barefoot on the grass or the beach? When last did you look your partner in the eyes and say: “I truly love and cherish you?” “Are you still doing the things that you enjoy?” Or, “Have we become exhausted, disconnected and easy to manipulate?”
