Whitstable Pearl Season 3 Arrives On Universal TV This May
Johannesburg, 20 May 2025: Whitstable Pearl returns to Universal TV this May, bringing audiences a third season packed with gripping mysteries, personal dilemmas, and lingering secrets. The new season premieres on Tuesday, 27 May, at 8 PM, and fresh episodes will air every Tuesday until 1 July 2025.
In Season 3, Pearl Nolan is fully entrenched in her private investigation work, entrusting the restaurant to Dolly and Ruby. Her romantic relationship with schoolteacher Tom is on the line as he urges her towards a deeper commitment. Meanwhile, Detective Mike McGuire returns from his absence transformed, physically fitter and spiritually calmer. But the relentless tide of crime in Whitstable threatens to shatter his newfound peace.
The season cleverly sidesteps the romantic tension of its predecessor, focusing instead on Pearl’s growing concern for Mike’s psychological well-being as the pair continues to cross paths in their mutual quest for justice. Pearl remains determined to help Mike confront his past and finally come to terms with his late wife’s death.

The series, an Acorn TV Original produced by Buccaneer Media and Acorn Media Enterprises, continues its tradition of weaving tight mysteries with richly drawn characters. Executive producers include Richard Tulk-Hart, Tony Wood, Julie Wassmer, and Mike Walden, with Debs Pisani producing. David Sant and Steve Brett return to direct.
Whitstable Pearl Season 3 airs exclusively on Universal TV (DStv Channel 117) across Africa from 27 May.
