Eastern Cape Mall makes a splash of surfing championship collaboration

East London, 25 June 2024: The Buffalo City is set to welcome the world to its shores when the highly anticipated 2024 World Waveski Surfing Titles will be taking place at Nahoon Reef later this month, and Vincent Park Mall has joined forces with the event to create an even more memorable experience. The centre is the exclusive mall partner for the event and has announced plans to make a splash with the event that aims to boost the local economy.

Presented by Buffalo City Tourism, the prestigious international surfing showdown will see over 100 elite athletes from around the globe come together in East London, from June 28 to July 7, to compete in the acclaimed tournament that has taken place in some of the most acclaimed surfing spots around the world. Thousands of spectators are expected.

To start the wave of excitement leading up to the competition, there will be a meet and greet at Vincent Park Mall on Thursday, June 27 at 3 PM, where shoppers and fans will have the opportunity to meet some of the world-renowned athletes that will be competing. During the tournament, Vincent Park will have a presence at Nahoon Reef itself, with an exhibition stand near the competition area. Here festival goers can enjoy beach games such as Giant Jenga, Ring Toss and the Bean Bag toss game and stand a chance to win Vincent Park Gift Cards, Branded Items, and beach-themed prizes.
