A Mid-Year Holiday Experience For Curious Minds And Growing Imaginations
Johannesburg, 3 July 2025: Purposeful play takes centre stage at Mall of Africa this mid-year school holiday as Playtime at Le Petit Playhouse invites children aged 2 to 7 for a hands-on, imagination-fuelled experience. From 9 to 21 July, the Nando’s Court transforms into a vibrant role-play village and interactive theatre, courtesy of a partnership with Le Petit Playhouse. This immersive activation is carefully designed to inspire creativity while supporting cognitive and social development through purposeful, interactive play.
Designed For Engagement
Children are welcomed into a make-believe world where learning naturally unfolds through play. The activation features a range of themed zones, including a Fire Station, Police Station, Vet, Beauty Salon, Medical Centre, Café, and Market, complete with curated props and dress-up costumes to ignite young imaginations. This environment reflects the simple wonder of childhood in a space built to encourage authentic expression and social interaction.
For an entry fee of R190, each child enjoys two hours of full access to the activation, including:

Puppet shows will feature during each play session, while parents can unwind with a coffee from Krispy Kreme. Trained playmakers will be present throughout the sessions, but all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Playtime at Le Petit Playhouse runs during Mall of Africa’s standard trading hours daily, with sessions scheduled for:
