Mbombela resident urged to donate to Community Closet at Riverside Mall
Only a Few Days Left to Make a Difference
Mbombela, 29 October 2024: Riverside Mall, renowned as a leading shopping and entertainment destination in Mbombela, is calling on the community to contribute to The Community Closet – a heartfelt initiative that invites shoppers to donate gently used clothing to uplift adults and children in need. But, with only two weeks left until the donation window closes on 10 November, the mall urges shoppers to act swiftly and make their contributions count.
Clothing donated thus far has been displayed in a dedicated retail store within the mall, where people from local community organizations will have the chance to “shop” for free when the campaign concludes. This unique shopping experience ensures these children can pick out clothing with dignity, offering joy to kids who might never have experienced the thrill of mall shopping.
“The Community Closet reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the extended community we serve,” said Rochelle Robinson, Centre Manager at Riverside Mall. “We hope this initiative not only makes a difference in the lives of children but also strengthens the spirit of generosity among our shoppers.”
How You Can Get Involved
Shoppers are encouraged to drop off their gently used clothing at the donation box stationed just outside The Community Closet Store, located near Checkers. Whether you’re looking to refresh your wardrobe for the summer season or simply wish to give back, this initiative offers an opportunity to clean out your cupboards while supporting a worthwhile cause.
As a longstanding friend to its community, Riverside Mall’s involvement in upliftment has remained steadfast over the years. This initiative aims to continue fostering its spirit of generosity and provide practical assistance, in a way that brings hope and dignity.
