Leaked Nashville Shooter Manifesto Shows Motivation Behind Attack
The motive behind the Nashville shooting attack is revealed in the leaked shooter manifesto
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (TND) — After months of controversy surrounding its release, excerpts from the manifesto of Nashville school shooter Audrey Hale are making the rounds on social media.
Steven Crowder, the host of the Louder with Crowder talk show, shared leaked images from the manifesto Monday morning. According to Crowder, the pages he published disclose Hale’s murderous assault’s motivations.
Wanna kill all you little c*******,” one page from the manifesto reads. “Bunch of little f****** w/ your white privlages f*** you f******.”
The National Desk has verified the authenticity of the leaked images through its Nashville affiliate, FOX 17 News.
Three students were among the six people that 28-year-old Audrey Hale killed when she broke into The Covenant School in March. Hale was formerly a student at the school. She was a transgender man who reportedly also went by the name “Aiden.”
FOX 17 News reported in May that several Covenant parents did not want the manifesto to be released, citing the risk it could encourage copycat attacks and traumatise survivors.
“The parents seek to shield their children from further harm and trauma, including pain that would fester for the rest of their lives if the shooter, their assailant, is allowed to haunt them from beyond the grave,” an attorney for the parents wrote in a legal brief.
Hale’s manifesto includes an hour-by-hour calendar of the tragic day, which Hale called “Death Day,” including everything from “getting dressed” and “eat breakfast” to “prepare for attack” and “time 2 die.”
I’m a little nervous, but excited too. Been excited for the past 2 weeks,” Hale allegedly wrote. “Can’t believe I’m doing this, but I’m ready… I hope my victims aren’t.”
Hale also wrote about her desire to “have a high death count.”
Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell released a statement Monday announcing an investigation to determine how the documents were leaked.
