Among the 2024 Grammy Award winners are 22-year-old South African singer Tyla who took home the first-ever Grammy for Best African Music Performance. Although up against tough competition, including Afrobeats stars Burna Boy and Davido, Tyla’s hit song “Water” proved undeniable for Grammy voters.
In other ‘first-ever’ news, Taylor Swift made history by becoming the first artist to win Album of the Year four times. During the ceremony, the singer revealed that her next album, The Tortured Poets Department, is coming in April.
