The World We Know Marks a Bold New Era with a Fresh Voice and Signature Sound
Johannesburg, South Africa – 25 November 2024 – South Africa’s rock royalty, Prime Circle, returns with their much-anticipated eighth studio album, THE WORLD WE KNOW, set to launch on Friday, 29 November 2024, across all streaming platforms via Virgin Music.
After a seven-year hiatus, the band reclaims their spotlight with a powerful blend of rock, pop-rock, and soul-stirring ballads. This album is a testament to Prime Circle’s evolution, introducing their new lead vocalist, Gavin Edwards, whose seasoned voice adds depth and vitality to the band’s signature sound.
A Legacy Reinvented
Since their debut in 2001, Prime Circle has dominated charts, earned multi-platinum accolades, and performed for sold-out audiences across the globe. Their latest work, produced by German collaborator Timon Seidl, includes standout singles like ‘Better Days’ and ‘What We Got’, which showcase a refined yet exploratory approach.
Originally planned as an EP, the album grew into a 10-track masterpiece as creativity overflowed in the studio. Lead vocalist Gavin Edwards reflects, “We couldn’t stop—every session kept sparking new ideas,”
Celebrating Live and Touring Globally
The release will be followed by a South African coastal tour in late 2024, extending into Germany in early 2025. Keyboardist Neil Breytenbach shares, “Seeing people’s reactions, watching them connect with the music, and hearing them sing the lyrics back—it’s an indescribable feeling that makes everything worthwhile. We’ve already felt that energy with the first two singles, and we can’t wait to see the same connection with the rest of the album. I hope these new songs resonate just as deeply with our fans.”
